Join Jeannie Hornung from FlipTurn Communications, Pramod Sharma from Osmo, and Hadley Wilkins of Redpoint Ventures to discuss the most effective strategies for generating press coverage for startups. The panel will be on August 9th at 4-6pm in Palo Alto.
Jeannie Hornung has sixteen years of technology public relations experience in Silicon Valley and New York City. Her core areas of focus are proactive media relations and content creation. She’s managed global communications campaigns for software, hardware, mobile, e-commerce, bioscience, health, education, content and security technology companies. She worked within two PR firms for 10 years: Connecting Point Communications and Fleishman-Hillard. From 2010-2012, she was in-house on the Google global communications and public affairs team across the search, mobile, commerce and content product teams. In 2012 she became a PR consultant to technology companies including Simility, Check Point, Fan TV, Lastline, Collective Health, IDEO, iRobot, Iteris, SimpliVity, Evie and Udacity.
Pramod Sharma is a big dreamer, chief talker and always challenging the status quo. After graduating from Stanford, he spent 8 years at Google architecting book scanning machines and held senior management roles in Search, Gmail & Distributed Computing. Pramod is an engineer turned CEO and a Founder of Osmo, a gaming company that has received coverage in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Wired, TechCrunch, Re/Code, USA Today, VentureBeat, Mashable, Forbes, and more.
At Redpoint, Hadley leads marketing, including communications, branding, events, and content. She works closely with Redpoint founders to support them through various stages of growth with strategic counsel and tactical support.
Hadley brings hands-on experience working with consumer tech and enterprise disruptors from prior leadership roles at some of the world’s leading marketing and communications agencies. She has led integrated campaigns for established and emerging brands spanning from corporate, product, and developer programs to executive thought leadership, employee, and digital-engagement programs.
